Forklift Steering Valves

Forklift Steering Valve - Valves aid to regulate the flow of a fluids like slurries, fluidized gases or regular gases, liquids by opening and closing or even by partially obstructing certain passageways. Regular valves are pipe fittings but are discussed as a separate category. In cases where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.

Valves are used in many applications such as residential, transport, commercial, military and industrial trades. Some of the main trades that depend on valves comprise the power generation, water reticulation, sewerage, oil and gas sector, mining and chemical manufacturing.

Most valves being utilized in everyday activities are plumbing valves, which are used in taps for tap water. Various popular valves include ones fitted to washing machines and dishwashers, gas control valves on cookers, valves within car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins inside the human body act as valves and control the blood flow. Heart valves even regulate the circulation of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the proper pumping action.

Valves could be used and operated in a lot of ways that they can be worked by a pedal, a lever or a handle. Additionally, valves can be operated automatically or by changes in temperature, pressure or flow. These changes could act upon a piston or a diaphragm which in turn activates the valve. Several popular examples of this particular type of valve are seen on safety valves or boilers fitted to hot water systems.

Valves are utilized in numerous complex control systems which can require an automatic control which is based on external input. Controlling the flow through the pipe to a changing set point is an example. These situations normally need an actuator. An actuator would stroke the valve depending on its set-up and input, that allows the valve to be places accurately while allowing control over different requirements.
